When applied to the mold surface, these materials allow demolding without the introduction of significant damage and extend the lifetime of the molds themselves. By decreasing the chance of concrete patches adhering to the mould, release agents also improve the surface smoothness It provides a barrier as a means of separation between the form-work and the concrete, with low suction between panels. It improves process characteristics such as the flow rate of the material being molded within the mold cavity, molding cycle times, and release ease.
Can be used on steel, timber, plywood, PVC, rubber, polypropylene, plastic & fibreglass. It provides a clean positive release, does not interfere with the surface detail, helps minimise “bug holes” and air bubbles in the finished casting.
